Oliver Bailes
Architect
BA (Hons) MArch

Oliver is an Architect at JTP’s London studio, joining the practice in 2019 following completion of his Masters at the Welsh School of Architecture and qualifying shortly after. His work often focusses on complex and challenging brownfield sites, developing residential-led urban quarters and town centre regenerations.

Oliver has worked on a wide range of projects, playing a significant role in achieving detailed planning approval for Goldsworth Road, a new urban quarter consisting of over 900 homes and pedestrian public open space that will revitalise the town centre of Woking.

Recently, Oliver was the Project Architect for Wembley Greenway, a key project in the practice’s growing purpose-built student accommodation portfolio. The proposals build on the research undertaken by JTP to understand the post-Covid needs of students from all backgrounds and seek to facilitate greater interaction between residents, as well as celebrating the extensive amenity offer. The proposal for Wembley Greenway will deliver over 600 new student homes, and over 1,000 sqm of amenity space that Oliver helped to carefully curate, catering for the diverse lifestyles of its residents. The proposals deliver the next phase of an emerging wider masterplan that opens up the railway site, transforming it into a new east to west route called the Greenway.

Alongside these projects, Oliver helps to lead the practice’s Professional Training Group, supporting our cohort of future architects.

Our people are the heart of who we are.
